Maintenance is searching for summer workers to work in either the grounds or custodial areas.

Salary: $15.00 per hour

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Custodial

• Must have basic knowledge/understanding of how to clean
• Able to work with cleaning chemicals
• Spend majority of shift on your feet
• Must be able to vacuum, mop, dust, wash walls and sweep
• Be prompt and reliable in arriving to work at the scheduled time
• Attention to detail

Grounds

• Must be able to weed, mow (both push and riding mowers), and use a weed whip
• Mulching, raking, weeding and watering flower beds and baskets
• Be able to shovel (both snow and dirt)
• Spend majority of shift on your feet
• Be able to work outside in the elements
• Be prompt and reliable in arriving to work at the scheduled time
• Attention to detail

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Must be at least 16 years old
• The physical demands of the position include standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, pulling and bending

Physical Demands

• Medium work. Medium work involves lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
