Overview and Responsibilities

Salary: $31,000 annually

Job responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sports medicine staff to develop and implement injury prevention and injury rehabilitation programs for assigned student-athletes.
  • Teach proper technique and provide supervision and motivation as needed.
  • Conduct testing to assess student-athlete performance and improvement. 
  • Assist with the development of various educational resources for both coaches and student-athletes. 
  • Collaborate with head coaches to develop year-round training programs to meet the demands of their respective sports. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Essential Skills and Functions:

  • Must have strong communication skills and be able to work in a dynamic work environment.
  • Must have a strong passion for the profession and be a positive team member on our staff.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends.
  • Must have exemplary ethical conduct and a commitment to follow all applicable NCAA Division III and Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rules and regulations.
  • Observes safety guidelines and follows safety procedures established by the university.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health/Exercise Science related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a high school or college setting.
  • Current NSCA-CSCS and/or CSCCA-SCCC certification.
  • Current First Aid, CPR/AED certified.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree. 
  • Experience working with Sports Medicine team and return to play protocols. 
  • Secondary certifications: USA Weightlifting, Precision Nutrition, RPR, etc.
