Overview and Responsibilities

The Assistant Director of Cardinal Central Services will work closely with the Director to help provide direction and oversight of the one-stop student services center team on the Winona campus. This includes daily supervision, direction, and problem solving for a cross-functional team responsible for key areas including, but not limited to, enrollment, student accounts, financial aid, retention, and more. The Assistant Director will oversee two Student Services Specialists, and report to the Director. Job responsibilities include:

  • Provide oversight, supervision, and coaching of the staff and operations on the Winona campus.
  • Assist the Director with forecasting the needs of the one-stop student services center.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Winona campus center by providing leadership and assisting the Director in planning for the needs of the office, including, but not limited to, creation and development of training, evaluations, and outcomes assessments for team members.
  • Help to manage one-stop communications, website, and virtual student service platforms.
  • Assist in collaborating with the offices of the Registrar, Financial Aid, Student Success, and others to develop strategies to improve student services.
  • Work alongside the student services team to ensure high quality service is delivered.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience working in a one-stop student services center required.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial aid, registration, and student billing in higher education environments required.
  • May consider other acceptable equivalent combinations of training and experience.
